
The World Economic Forum (WEF) will hold its Annual Meeting 2021 in Lucerne-Burgenstock, Switzerland contrary to its traditional venue of Davos. It will be held from May 18th – May 21st. This change was necessitated by the coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting will take place if the conditions and health of participating nations and host countries are suitable, the WEF announced while setting up a new date and venue.
The theme of the meeting will be “The Great Reset”. As the economies of various nations are suffering from the catastrophic effects of the pandemic, it will focus to provide various solutions to the pressing and persistent issues in a post-pandemic situation.
The annual meeting of the WEF is a high-profile event with dignitaries from all across the world. The meeting of 2021 will be crucial as various leaders will come and discuss the common recovery path in the post-pandemic world. As previously announced by the WEF the meeting will be preceded by the great “Davos Dialogues”.
The most important highlight of the Annual Meeting will be its blended format. The WEF will follow a blended format of online and offline discussions keeping in mind the pandemic. The WEF met in January 2020 for its 50th Annual Meeting before the pandemic hit the world.
