The Union Health Ministry data released on the morning of Friday, June 4, 2021, showed a minimal decline in new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours with 1,32,364 more people testing positive.
The cumulative figure of total COVID cases in India on Friday now reaches 2,85,74,350; this is the highest across the world. The cumulative figure of deaths due to coronavirus infection now stands at 3,40,702.
Further, the recoveries surpassed the fresh infections for the twenty-second day straight with 2,07,071 getting discharged. This has taken the cumulative discharges in the country to 2,65,97,655.
