UP Police tightens grip to nab gangster Vikas Dubey, arrests his aides from MP and Haryana

The Uttar Pradesh Police has intensified its operations to nab gangster Vikas Dubey. The Special Task Force (STF) of the UP Police arrested Vikas Dubey’s brother-in-law Gyanendra Nigam and his son from Shahdol in Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, sources say that the history-sheeter Vikas Dubey has been spotted in Delhi on Wednesday, July 8. The Delhi Police has been on high alert since this news has come up. The police had raided some places in the Najafgarh area in south-west Delhi on the basis of some information.

However, three of Dubey’s aides-Prabhat, Ankur, and Shravan-have been arrested from Haryana’s Faridabad. It is being said that the gangster was in Faridabad on July 7.

Dubey is the main accused in the ambush in Bikru village in the Chaubeypur area of Kanpur in which eight policemen were killed on July 3.

The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday increased the reward on any information leading to the arrest of Dubey from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.

The Uttar Pradesh Police has deployed more than 60 police teams to trace and arrest the gangster. So far, they have raided several hideouts and have arrested his aides. One of his accomplices Amar Dubey was shot dead in an encounter on Wednesday morning in Hamirpur district while another accomplice, Shyamu Bajpai, was arrested in Kanpur after a brief encounter.
