The countdown for the Bhumi Pujan starts in Ayodhya

As Ayodha prepares for the grand ceremony of Bhumi Pujan for the establishment of Ram Mandir , UP government steers up the security briefing in the state.

It has been confirmed that only five people will be on stage that includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Mahant Nritya Gopaldas, head of Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas.

21 priests had already started the vedic rituals since Monday which will continue till Wednesday 12.30pm. The foundation stone of the Ram Temple will be laid by Narendra Modi.

The city of Ayodhya is decked up for the grand event when religious leaders and other dignitaries will gather for the ceremony. However, due to the pandemic, a limited number of people have been invited to the event. Around 175 invitations were sent.

Eight priests from Ayodhya, five each from Varanasi and Delhi, and three from Kamikochi in Tamil Nadu are performing the rituals at Ram Janmabhoomi for the construction of the temple.

The security is tightened up and adjoining district borders are all sealed since Monday night. Around 4000 security personnel and 75check points have been installed.

The mega function organized by Yogi Adityanath will, however, miss some of the key faces of the Ram temple campaign in the BJP – LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, and Uma Bharti.
