Recovery Rate from coronavirus infection in India improved to 94%
The number of active cases in India has remained under the 5 lakh mark for the 22nd consecutive day

The number of coronavirus infected cases in India is approaching the 95 lakh mark. As per the data shared by the Ministry of Health, the total number of COVID19 cases in India is 94,99,413 with 36,304 new cases added in the last 24 hours. The Ministry also informed that out of the total number of infected cases, around 89 lakhs of patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection.
With these figures, the national recovery rate from coronavirus has improved to 94%. According to the Union Health Ministry Data updated on Wednesday, December 2, the fatality rate has also decreased to 1.45%.
The data also suggests that the number of active cases in India has remained under the 5 lakh mark for the 22nd consecutive day. There are 4,28,644 active coronavirus infections in the country which comprises 4.51% of the total caseload, the data stated.
Many states have ramped up the testing facilities and have reduced the prices for RT PCR tests. The cost of the RT PCR test in Delhi stands at Rs 800, while the UP government has reduced it to Rs 600 per person.
The Delhi government decided to cut the prices and up the testing after it was rapped by the Delhi High Court. The court has summoned the Delhi government to clarify its stand and preparedness to tacked the increasing number of cases. Currently, Delhi is adding around 5.000 cases every day on an average.
