Rahul Gandhi says the government can’t ‘intimidate’ him

It seems Congress is finding it difficult to respond to the recent orders given by the Ministry of Home Affairs to probe the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust, and Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust. And therefore, Congress Party’s ‘Prime Ministerial Candidate’ and former president Rahul Gandhi has alleged the government of intimidating him and his family members.

Apparently, The Congress Party has responded that it is ready to face the probe and has all the answers to the questions that the government wants to ask. In reaction, Congress also asked the government why it doesn’t probe organization related to BJP leaders.

Rahul Gandhi’s reaction came shortly after Congress termed the decision by the central government as biased.

It is to be noted that the Union home ministry on Wednesday, July 8, announced the decision to set up an inter-ministerial committee to coordinate investigations into allegations of illegality against the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF), Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust and Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust. All three entities have been accused of violating the money laundering act, Income Tax Act, and foreign contribution act.
