Rahul Dravid appointed as Coach of Indian Cricket Team for Sri Lanka
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly confirmed Dravid’s appointment as the coach for the limited-overs series in Sri Lanka. Ganguly said, as the senior team under the captaincy of Virat Kohli will be busy playing the five-match Test series against England, the team for Sri Lanka will be led by India’s stylish left-handed opener Shikhar Dhawan.

Here’s good news for Rahul Dravid fans. Former India captain and head of National Cricket Academy (NCA) Rahul Dravid will be the coach for the Indian Cricket Team on the tour of Sri Lanka. India is scheduled to play three ODIs and three T20s with Sri Lanka starting July 13, 2021.

The Indian squad for the tour of Sri Lanka is already in Mumbai for their 14-days institutional quarantine.
The All-India Senior Selection Committee met on Thursday and picked the squad for the India tour of Sri Lanka scheduled in the month of July. Shikhar Dhawan was made the captain of the side with Bhuvneshwar Kumar appointed as his deputy for the upcoming tour. Ruturaj Gaikwad got his maiden call up for the national team owing to his brilliant show with the bat for Chennai Super Kings at the top of the order.
