Rafale jets take off from Abu Dhabi, to land in Ambala at 2 PM

Took off from France on July 27, the first fleet of five Rafale fighter jets expected to land at Ambala Air Force Station around 2 PM today. Soon after landing, these fighter jets will join the ‘Golden Arrows’ Squadron of the Indian Air Force (IAF).
The set of five Rafale jets has already taken off from Al Dhafra in UAE where they landed yesterday as a part of an overnight halt. Al Dhafra airbase is located on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, UAE’s capital city.
Meanwhile, section 144 has been imposed around the Ambala Air Base to ensure a hassle-free welcome of the Rafale aircraft.
