PM Modi’s address to the Nation

“In this festive season, the markets are bright again but we should not forget that the lockdown might have ended but Covid 19 still persists.” PM Modi said in his address on Tuesday

With the festival season taking over the mood of the people in India, Prime Minister delivered his seventh address to the nation. He reminded the people that though the country has unlocked but the virus is not yet quarantined. It is still there and people should be careful and cautious.

“In this festive season, the markets are bright again but we should not forget that the lockdown might have ended but Covid 19 still persists.” PM Modi said in his address on Tuesday.

Many reports are doing the rounds of people openly flouting the social-distancing norms and not using masks while venturing outside for festival shopping. The market scenes in West Bengal for the Durga Puja has brought to light the negligence of the people.

The experts have warned that if the precautions are not taken seriously then there will be a surge in the number of infections during the festive season with nearly all activities returning to normal. PM Modi’s address is in the backdrop of the caution issued by the panel of experts.

“With the efforts of every Indian over the last 7-8 months, India is in a stable situation, and we must not let it deteriorate. We should improve it further”, PM remarked.
India is witnessing a decline in the rate of new infections for the first time since July and it is important that the people realize that our battle with the deadly virus is still ongoing.

PM Modi in his address lauded the efforts and selflessness of the health workers during these testing times and informed that there is positive news on the front of vaccine development. He also assured that the government is working on ways so that the vaccine reaches every Indian once it is developed.

The address lasted for 12 minutes and the PM highlighted the use of masks, sanitizers, and social distancing norms. He requested the people not to be careless and not to put their loved ones in danger.
