PM Modi calls for All-Party meet to discuss India-China LAC situation

In the latest development on the India-China border issues, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for an All-Party Meet on Friday, June 19. Modi is expected to brief the political parties about the gravity of the situation at LAC between India and China.
The representatives of the political parties will join the meeting via video conference at 5 pm on Friday.
Experts believe that the government is planning to reply to the Chinese Army for their notorious act at the Galwan Valley in the eastern Ladakh region. As per the sources, the government has already given a free-hand to the army to devise the strategy to tackle the on-ground situation.
However, on the diplomatic front, both Indian and Chinese foreign ministers have talked to each other to deescalate the situation. The army has also confirmed that both Indian and Chinese troops have disengaged the area.
