Pakistan dare not think of any misadventures, warned Gen Bipin Rawat

The Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat has warned Pakistan of any misadventures on India’s western borders. CDS Bipin Rawat, on Thursday, September 3, warned Pakistan to not think of taking any advantage of the tense situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Gen Rawat said Pakistan may have to bear heavy losses as India has already devised the strategy to deal with any such threats.

“If any threat develops around our northern borders, Pakistan could take advantage of that and create some trouble for us. Therefore, we have taken adequate precautions to ensure that any such misadventure by Pakistan is sorted and they are not able to succeed in their mission. In fact, they may suffer heavy losses should they attempt any misadventure,” said Gen Rawat.

Gen Rawat was briefing the media on the situation along the northern and western borders. Gen Rawat informed that India currently faces one of the most complex threats and challenges that may lead to conflicts that could be anything from nuclear to sub-conventional to orthodox.

It is to be noted that the situation along the LAC has worsened in the last few weeks. Though the dialogues between the Indian and Chinese armies are taking place at regular intervals, there is not outcome as such from those dialogues.

Also, going by their nature, the Chinese PLA tried to enter the Indian side of the LAC thrice in the last 4 days. As the Indian Army was anticipating such action from the other side, it thwarted all the efforts and in retaliation captured around 30 hilltops along with Finger 2, 3, and 4 near Pangong Tso.
