Pakistan claims Kulbhushan Jadhav rejected filing review petition against the death sentence

Pakistan has, once again, unilaterally tried to demean the human rights of Kulbhushan Jadhav. Pakistan has claimed that the Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav has refused to file a review petition of his death sentence and conviction. Jadhav had been arrested on alleged espionage charges and is currently in Pakistan jail.
As per the media reports in Pakistan, Kulbhushan Jadhav was invited to file a petition for review and reconsideration of his sentence and conviction on June 17, 2020. The media reports say that Jadhav apparently refused to file any petition.
India has categorically rejected Pakistan claims and allegations on Jadhav. India has specifically stated that Jadhav was kidnapped from the Iranian port of Chabahar where he was running a business.
Kulbhushan Jadhav, the 49-year-old retired Navy officer, was arrested on March 3, 2016, and sentenced to death on charges of espionage and terrorism in April 2017. In May 2017, India moved the ICJ against the “farcical trial” by Pakistan’s military court.
