Kashmir on high alert as Pakistani terrorists plan Pulwama-like attack

The Kashmir valley has been put on a high alert as intelligence inputs suggest a Pulwama-like suicide attack by the terrorists in the north and central parts of Kashmir.

Inputs are coming that Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is planning a big attack on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway using a car bomb.

The security forces have cordoned areas like Pattan, Sopore, and Handwara. The Army’s road patrolling parties have been asked to remain vigilant. They have also been asked to clear off the track before any convoy movement on the highway.

Sources say that the Pakistani terrorist outfits are frustrated by the retaliatory action taken by the Indian security forces. Recently, the terrorists killed Bandipora’s former BJP president and his family.

The Indian Army has been successful in eliminating more than 120 terrorists in the valley since January 2020. More than 50 terrorists have been encountered in the Kashmir valley itself. Regions like Tral have been claimed to be terrorists-free by the army personnel.
