Kangana says ‘Jai Maharashtra, Jai Shivaji’, as she arrives in Mumbai today
Before arriving in Mumbai, she once again tweeted her firm commitment to stand against the wrongs. She also wrote, “Jai Maharashtra, Jai Shivaji.”

After challenging the Maharashtra Government and the Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to land in Mumbai today at around 12:30 PM. Before arriving in Mumbai, she once again tweeted her firm commitment to stand against the wrongs. She also wrote, “Jai Maharashtra, Jai Shivaji.”
The war of words between actress Kangana Ranaut and Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut took an ugly turn when the MP from the ruling party used derogatory words for the actress on the national TV. It is since then that Kangana made up her mind to challenge the government.
Ahead of coming to Mumbai, she tweeted in Hindi, “I have lived the courage, valor, and sacrifice of Rani Laxmi Bai through a film. The sad part is I am being prevented from coming to my own Maharashtra. I will walk on the path of Rani Laxmi Bai and will continue to raise my voice against wrong. Jai Maharashtra, Jai Shivaji.”

The whole episode started when, in an article published in Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana’, Sanjay Raut threatened her not to come to Mumbai if she had no faith in Mumbai Police. In reaction, Kangana complained against the government for allowing the authorities to take on her. She also mentioned about the derogatory street graffiti. She then asked Sanjay Raut whether Mumbai has become PoK that someone has to take permission from the government to enter.
As expected, Sanjay Raut twisted Kangana’s comments as an insult to Mumbai, Maharashtra, Chhatrapati Shivaji, and Mumbai Devi. And since then, along with Sanjay Raut, various government agencies have also opened attacks on Kangana Ranaut.
On Tuesday morning, BMC issued a notice to Kangana’s office saying there were some forceful constructions. And then by the evening, the state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh ordered a probe against Kangana for drug consumption. Apparently, in the month of June 2020, Adhyayan Suman had given an interview where he had quoted that Kangana used to consume drugs.
Looking at the threats Kangana received after her challenge to the Maharashtra government, the central government has provided a ‘Y category’ security to Kangana Ranaut.
Kangana was in her hometown in Manali since the beginning of the lockdown. She plans to land in Mumbai on Wednesday, September 9. She left for Chandigarh and is expected to reach there by 11.15 am and will board a flight to Mumbai at 12.20.
