One of the most talked-about subjects in recent days is the US presidential election. Right from South Asia (India & Pakistan) to China and many more countries are glued to their TV screens looking for the results and future of their relations with the United States. This is happening maybe because of the roller coaster ride through which the international order has gone through in the last 3-4 years especially after the Trump entering the oval office.

Mr. Joe Biden was very confident and bold in his election campaign as compared to Mr. Donald Trump. As per the recent development, Mr. Biden is just one state away from creating history.

The counting of votes is still underway despite legal challenges to voting for 4 key states in battleground states that may hold key to the White House. In the race to 270 electoral votes, Biden has 264, while Trump has 214. Mr. Biden has won Arizona that was the undisputed territory of Mr. Donald Trump. It is a nail-biting fight and still, there are millions of votes remaining to be counted before we have the “King” of the White House for the next four years.

Mr. Trump is alleging fraud and irregularities in the counting of votes as Mr. Biden has secured an edge over him. Mr. Biden is very confident of him winning these elections. He also made a televised speech from his hometown asserting his win in the following words “when the count is finished, we believe we will be the winners.” Till now Mr. Biden has managed to flip many battlegrounds in his favor but still many unchartered territories need to be claimed by him to secure the magic number.

In a recent development, the Trump campaign has filed a lawsuit to stop voting count in Georgia. There are also reported incidents of violence across the States. The Legal challenges are looming on the election results and it will take some time before we finally know who will wear the crown for the White House.
