It’s final! IPL starts from September 19 in UAE

The Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council has confirmed that the ILP 2020 shall be played in UAE from September 19. It will be a full season and the final will be played on November 8, 2020.
IPL Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed the schedule on Friday. However, he also informed that the Council is yet to get the ‘go-ahead’ from the government bodies. “We have written to the Indian government. We are expecting a reply soon. Once it comes, an IPL Governing Council (GC) meeting will be called next week to finalize all other details”, Brijesh Patel said in a statement.
During the new schedule spread over 51 days, The BCCI is expected to schedule one match a day on weekdays and double matches on weekends. This way it suits the broadcasters as well as they, otherwise, find it difficult to leverage the afternoon matches.
All the teams have already started practicing for the matches. This season’s IPL will also be important for the fans of MS Dhoni. Remember, the captain cool is struggling with his fitness and agility. If he regains his sharpness during the IPL, he may claim a comeback in the Indian team as well.
