The Mumbai Police has started its investigation to find out the reasons behind Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide. The Police is exploring all the possible angles that could have provoked Sushant to take the extreme step. However, nothing appears clear as of now.
The Police has, prima facie, termed the incident as ‘Suicide’, though it has not ruled out possibilities of any conspiracy or planned crime. “We can confirm the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Further investigations are in progress,” said deputy commissioner of police (operations) Pranaya Ashok, the Mumbai police spokesman.
Apparently, Sushant’s friends and his sister, who were staying together with him at his Bandra residence, informed the Police and media that Sushant was being treated for depression. He was under treatment and was taking prescribed medicines as well. The Police is planning to question the doctor as well to know what were the reasons for his depression. When Sushant’s former manager Disha Salian committed suicide last week, Sushant reacted to the incident by calling it “devastating news”.
Though the reasons for Sushant’s depression can somewhat be related to his failed love life. If one of his neighbors in Patna and a person very close to the family, to be believed, Sushant was not happy with the relationship with her latest girlfriend. The Police also confirms that Sushant had called his girlfriend late last night but the call was not answered at the other end. His girlfriend is also an actor.
His neighbor said that Sushant had shared his trauma with his father and his father was about to come to Mumbai to console him. Though due to the COVID Lockdown, his father could not go to Mumbai. The trauma gradually increased and ended with the extreme step.
Now that the Crime Branch-CID has joined the investigation, it is expected that the reasons for Sushant’s suicide will soon be known to everyone.
