After many nail-biting matches, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians made it to the final. While Mumbai Indians had prior experience of playing finals, Delhi Capitals had made it to the finals for the first time. For Delhi Capitals this is their maiden IPL finals. For the first time in IPL’s history, Chennai super Kings couldn’t even make it to the playoffs this season.

One player that played a vital role in the victory of Mumbai Indians is Trent Boult. Mumbai Indians traded him from Delhi Capitals as he didn’t play a lot of matches in IPL 2019. But this auction of a famous and energetic Kiwi player proved to be a nightmare for DC this season. Captain Rohit Sharma acknowledged the importance of having Trent Bolt in his team.
This IPL season saw some very interesting twists and turns with many low-key teams astonishing everyone with their performance. In the semi-finals, SRH managed to stop RCB at just 132 runs and easily sailed through it. Rajasthan Royals also took everyone by surprise by giving a tough fight to their opponents.
Overall the season has been thrilling and after a tough fight with other teams MI and DC have managed to bag the first two positions. Both teams had very talented players in their kitty. Where Mumbai Indians had Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, etc, Delhi Capitals had some of the most exciting players like Marc Stoinis, Shreyas Iyer, Rabada, Shikhar Dhawan, Ashwin, etc.
