Indian Railways cancels all trains till August 12, to give a full refund on tickets

As the number of coronavirus cases in India rise, the Railway Board has decided to cancel all regular mail, express and passenger services as well as suburban trains. These trains will remain suspended till August 12. The Railway Board took this decision on Thursday, June 25.
The Railway Board said that tickets for trains scheduled to run between July 1 till August 12, therefore, stand canceled. The Board will give a full refund for all the canceled tickets.
However, the Board clarified that all the special trains will remain in service until further notice. The special trains include 15 pairs of trains running on the Rajdhani routes since May 12 and 100 pairs of trains operating since June 1.
Along with the special trains, the limited-service special suburban trains in Mumbai will also continue. These trains are porting essential services personnel identified by the local authorities.
