After clinching the Border-Gavaskar Trophy from Australia, the Indian team is riding high on success. The most-awaited India-England series is commencing from 5th February and fans are excited about the same.

India will look forward to continuing their winning momentum from the successful test series against Australia while they face the English team. England also seems to be in a good vein of form after drubbing Sri Lanka.

It will be interesting to see how the Indian team will perform against the English team as their captain Virat Kohli is returning from his Paternity leave and Ishant Sharma and R Ashwin are also recovering from their injuries.

Former Indian Cricket player and current BJP MP from East Delhi, Gautam Gambhir, can see India dominating the series. Gambhir remarked on the Star Sports series Game Plan “It has to be 3-0 India or probably 3-1. I’m only going to give a Pink Ball Test match, probably 50-50 to England just from the conditions point of view. I don’t see England winning any of the Test matches with the kind of spin attack they’ve got,”.

On the other hand, former English Captain and Commentator Naseer Hussain predict that Virat Kohli led Indian team will win the series 2-1. But he has not ruled out the possibility of England surprising the Indian side. Hussain on his blog on Daily mail wrote that- “India are favorites and I’d go for the winning 2-1 but this England side can surprise you and they’re on an upward curve.”

The last time England played a Test series in India they lost the series by 4-0. They definitely will be looking forward to carrying better results this time. Although, the English team has many match-winning players in their team but will have to work extraordinarily to stun the Indian side. Dominating the Indian side will be a herculean task for Joe Root and the company.

The first test match will start from 5th February at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
