India and Israel talk to improve defense ties, tension at LAC with China

India is fast expanding its overall defense and security system in collaborating with Israel. In the wake of the ongoing tension between India and China at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, India seeks Israel’s help to enhance the security and surveillance system along the LAC.
As per the sources, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday held a telephonic conversation with his Israeli counterpart Lt Gen Benjamin Gantz. They both discussed in length about India’s standoff with China in eastern Ladakh.
Sources said that Defence Minister Rajnath Singh apprised Lt Gen Gantz about the reformatory initiatives taken up by India in the defense manufacturing sector. He also sought improved participation of Israeli defense firms in the joint development of weapons and military hardware with Indian companies.
Apparently, India has been the largest buyer of Israel’s military hardware. Israel has been supplying various weapon systems, missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles over the last few years.
Israel’s security systems are world-renowned. It is also one of the major innovators and suppliers of weapons and ammunition in the world.
