
The tourists will now be able to visit Agra’s historical monuments from September 1, except the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort. As per the revised order issued by the district administration of Agra, the authorities have decided to reopen all the historical monuments except Taj Mahal and Lal Quila, from September 1.
All these monuments, that fall in the buffer zone, will be re-opened for the public as per their pre-lockdown schedule.
However, the district administration has made it compulsory for the tourists visiting these places to wear masks and follow proper sanitization and social distancing norms.
Markets and shopping centers in the city of Agra has already been opened. The restaurants and gyms are also operational in the city. Agra has reported 28 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of COVID-19 cases has reached 2,395, with 104 deaths so far.
