Delhi reports record 3,137 cases in a single day, Total cases cross 50,000

The number of coronavirus infections in India is rising unstoppably. The single-day spike is breaking records every day. In the last 24 hours, with record 13,586 cases the total number of COVID-19 infected patients in India has crossed the 3.8 lakh mark.

Delhi alone has reported 3,137 cases on Friday, June 19. The total cases in Delhi have now crossed the 50,000 mark.  

The cases in Maharashtra, which continues to be the worst Coronavirus-hit state in the country, has risen to 1,20,504 tallies, including 5,751 fatalities, and 60,838 recoveries.

The second most infected state is Tamil Nadu which has so far recorded 52,334 cases. Gujarat has reported 25,601 cases so far.

The Ministry of Health informed that the total cases in India have surged to 380,532 which includes 163,248 active cases while at least 204,711 people have been cured of the infection.

The casualties caused due to Covid-19 in the country have increased to 12,573, with an increase of 336 in the last 24 hours.
