COVID19 patients in India cross 5-lakh mark, Delhi crosses 80,000 mark

India now enters the 5lakh club in the world. Yes, the number of coronavirus cases in India crossed the 5-lakh tally on June 27, 2020. The government officials recorded over 18,999 new cases in the last 24 hours. With this, India now has 5,08,953 confirmed COVID19 cases.
The Ministry of Health informed that in India there are 1,97,387 active coronavirus cases. It also informed that 2,95,881 patients have been cured so far. Also, 15,685 have died so far due to this deadly infection.
Though Maharashtra remains the worst-hit COVID state in India, Delhi is rapidly inching towards the number one position.
While Maharashtra has over 1.47 lakh coronavirus cases and nearly 7,000 deaths, Delhi now has more than 80,000 cases and over 2,500 deaths. Tamil Nadu has also recorded nearly 71,000 coronavirus cases so far.
India is now just behind the United States, Brazil, and Russia in terms of the total confirmed cases. It has slowly become the biggest center of the coronavirus disease pandemic in Asia and the fourth worst-affected nation in the world.Â
