Coronavirus peak in Delhi has ended, says Dr. Sanjeep Budhiraja

Has the peak of coronavirus cases in Delhi been crossed! At least this is what Dr. Sandeep Budhiraja claims. Dr. Budhiraja suggests that the way the number of recovered patients is increasing day by day, it suggests that the novel coronavirus peak in Delhi has ended.
If this is true, it is indeed a very positive development for the residents of Delhi as well as the whole of India. Dr. Budhiraja is one of the members of a five-member panel that was constituted by the Delhi government to lead the fight against the COVID-19 crisis. Dr. Budhiraja also happens to have performed the first plasma therapy treatment in India to cure COVID19 infection.
Delhi has recorded 97200 confirmed cases which include 25940 active cases, 68256 cured cases, and 3004 deaths.
The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also confirmed that the rate of recovery in Delhi has improved to more than 70%. During his press conference held on Saturday, July 4, he said, ”Less and less people in Delhi are now requiring hospitalisation, more and more people are getting cured at home. Whereas there were around 2300 new patients daily last week, no of patients in hospital has gone down from 6200 to 5300. Today, 9900 corona beds are free.”
On the other hand, the number of novel coronavirus infection cases in India rose to 6,73,165 by Sunday, July 5. So far 19,268 deaths have been recorded. Unfortunately, the number of a single-day spike in the cases has crossed the 20,000 mark for the fourth consecutive day.
