Congress MLA Vinay Jaiswal defies Social Distancing in Chhattisgarh

The Coronavirus has brought in many behavioral changes that we now have to live with. Social distancing is one such change. Though the general public is following all these norms to the best of its capacity, when it comes to the celebrities and politicians, the norms appear too light to be followed.
The same was witnessed during a protest rally organized by Chhattisgarh Congress MLA Vinay Jaiswal in the Korea district. Jaiswal organized the protest to demand the reinstatement of 32 workers of a company. He said, “Based on a fictitious probe, the workers were sacked by South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. during previous BJP government in the state.”
In a video of the incident posted on social media, MLA Vinay Jaiswal is clearly visible being surrounded by nearly a dozen protesters. Most of them did not even wear masks. They raised slogans and held placards against the sacking of workers amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Though there was no clear outcome of the protest, the people who gathered definitely posed a threat to themselves of being infected with COVID19. Chhattisgarh government has so far been able to control the outbreak of Coronavirus in the state, such incidences may affect its fight against the pandemic.
