Congress diverted PM Relief Funds to Rajiv Gandhi Foundation: BJP

The Bhartiya Janata Party went for an all-out attack on Congress Party to expose its double standards. BJP president JP Nadda, on Friday, June 26, released a document that claimed that the PM Relief Funds donated to Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.

The BJP president said that, during Dr. Manmohan Singh’s tenure as the Prime Minister, Congress Party diverted money from PMNRF. He also said that Sonia Gandhi happens to be the chief of the foundation. It also includes Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, P Chidambaram, and Manmohan Singh as the members of the board.

“PMNRF (Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund), meant to help people in distress, was donating money to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation in the UPA years. Who sat on the PMNRF board? Smt. Sonia Gandhi. Who chairs RGF? Smt. Sonia Gandhi. Totally reprehensible, disregarding ethics, processes and not bothering about transparency,” said Mr Nadda.

Nadda did not stop here. He also accused Congress Party and its chief Sonia Gandhi of surrender to the Chinese President Xi Jinping. He released documents that prove Congress-led UPA government had fallen for a regional trade agreement and the RCEP with the Chinese. He said that this agreement is one of the reasons for the current trade deficit with China.

It is believed that the Congress Party had signed a secret MoU with the Communist Party of China. A picture of the signing ceremony is being circulated heavily in the social domain. In the picture, Rahul Gandhi is signing the deal with his Chinese counterpart. Rahul’s mother and Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi can be seen standing behind him beside President Xi Jinping.

Congress Party is still endorsing a regional economic partnership with China despite the increasing tension at the LAC.
