China has not and cannot capture any inch of Indian territory: PM Modi

China has not and cannot capture any inch of Indian territory, clarified Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an all-party meeting called on June 19 to discuss the India-China border situation. PM Modi said that India’s Armed Forces are capable and ready to respond to any call to protect the nation.
India lost the lives of 20 brave soldiers on June 15 in a clash with the Chinese Army at Galwan Valley on LAC in the eastern Ladakh region.
PM Modi called the all-party meeting to discuss India’s preparedness to counter China’s claims on the LAC. 20 political parties including Congress, NCP, Shiv Sena, and Trinamool Congress attended the meeting via video conferencing.
“Neither is anyone inside our territory nor is any of our post captured,” PM Modi said. He also informed that the entire nation is hurt and angry at the steps taken by China.
PM Modi also said that the 20 Bravehearts who martyred in Ladakh did not die without teaching a perfect lesson to those who tried to attack India’s sovereignty.
Narendra Modi also informed the heads of the political parties that the government has allowed a free hand to the armed forces. He said, “While we have given a free hand to our armed forces, diplomatically too we have made our stand clear to China. India wants peace and friendship but protecting its sovereignty is supreme”.
PM Modi also assured the political parties as well as the nation that the infrastructure development work that is being carried out at LAC will not stop. He said, “Because of new infrastructure, especially along the LAC, our patrolling capability has gone up. Because of that alertness has gone up and events happening on the LAC are being reported”.
All political parties excluding the Left Parties (CPI and CPM) extended their support to the government. They said unanimously that India stands together in the time of crisis and supports the government in every action that it takes to protect the sovereignty of the nation.
