CBI to file FIR in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case

Big developments are on the roll as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has accepted the proposal of the Bihar government to investigate the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. CBI is expected to file the FIR in this case to commence the investigation.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14 at his Bandra residence. The Mumbai Police had filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR) in this matter and was investigating the case. However, questions were raised on the overall conduct of the Mumbai Police. It is to be noted that the Mumbai Police, even after 50 days of Sushnat’s death, did not file an FIR.

Mumbai Police ignored some of the basic and procedural steps in their investigation. They did not follow the trails of the close contacts that were present a night before at Sushant Singh’s residence. They also did not follow the trail of any financial discrepancies related to Sushant’s bank accounts. And, above all, the Mumbai Police also did not establish a link between Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and his former manager Disha Saliyan’s death. Disha also was found dead at her residence a week before Sushant died.

Furthermore, when Bihar Police started the investigation following the FIR filed by Sushant’s father KK Singh, Mumbai Police did not offer any help. They did not hand over the copies of photographs and videography that were taken when Sushant’s body was found at his residence. They also did not share the copies of the statements given by various people liked to Sushant. And above all, the Mumbai Police sent Patna SP Vinay Tiwari, an IPS office, to a 14-day quarantine when he landed in Mumbai to supervise the investigation.

Frustrated by the conduct of Mumbai Police, Bihar Police DGP Gupteshwar Pandey requested Sushant’s father KK Singh to give his consent for a CBI inquiry in this case. Once KK Singh gave his consent, the Bihar Chief Minister recommended the case to CBI.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also summoned Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty in this case. ED is investigating the angle of financial discrepancies in Sushant’s death case. It has asked prime accused Rhea Chakraborty to be present on August 7 for questioning.

The fans and followers of actor Sushant Singh Rajput are thanking CM Nitish Kumar and the CBI for taking up the case. They believe that the truth shall come out now. They believed that the game of cover-up being played by the Mumbai Police shall now be exposed. The whole nation hopes the same and prays that Sushant Singh Rajput gets justice soon.
