Bollywood Star Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Test COVID Positive
The nation was shocked to hear the news of the 77-year-old veteran Bollywood megastar and his son being diagnosed with COVID positive which was announced through the actor’s Twitter post last night. Both Amitabh and Abhishek Bachan have mild symptoms and are presently admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.
A statement released by the hospital reads that “Mr. Amitabh Bachchan is stable with mild symptoms and is currently admitted in the isolation unit at Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai. He has confirmed that he will keep updating via Twitter.”
Meanwhile, it has been learned that Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya, and Aaradhya and other staff have tested negative through rapid antigen tests and are in isolation. However, their swab test reports are awaited.
Soon after the news broke online, fans and film fraternity have flooded the internet with prayers and wishes for the family.
On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan’s debut digital web-show ‘Breathe’ season 2 released on the OTT platform last Friday, and Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Gulabo Sitabo, however, the actor has shot for many commercials of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ from his home itself.
