
In a shocking development, a priest and 14 policemen who were posted at the Ram Mandir complex in Ayodhya, have tested positive for COVID19. All these policemen and the priest were expected to be present during the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony on August 5.
The name of the priest who has tested coronavirus positive is Pradeep Das and he is the assistant to the chief priest of the makeshift temple at the Ram Janam Bhoomi Complex. Chief priest Satyendra Das and his other four assistants have tested negative.
On the other hand, the policemen who have tested positive were deployed at the Ram Janam Bhoomi complex.
There are 50 VIPs, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who are expected to attend the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony on August 5 in Ayodhya. All the preparations are in full swing.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and ramped up the security in Ayodhya after the intelligence inputs of the suspected terrorist attack on the Ram Mandir. The government has confirmed that all the programs related to the earth-breaking ceremony are expected to happen as per the schedule.
