Amit Shah calls for Delhi’s All-Party Meet to Discuss COVID Readiness

After taking the stock of preparedness for the fight against Coronavirus from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Amit Shah has now called for an All-Party Meet in Delhi today. Union Home Minister yesterday discussed certain emergency measures against COVID19. In today’s meeting, he wants to develop a consensus over the implementation of those measures.

BJP, AAP, Congress, and BSP would attend today’s meeting to be chaired by Amit Shah.

During Sunday’s meeting, Amit Shah assured all the assistance required to the capital city. Shah said that the Covid-19 testing would be doubled in Delhi in the next two days and will gradually be increased to three times.

It was also decided that the polling stations in the containment zones would be used for Covid-19 tests. A comprehensive house-to-house survey would also be conducted in the hotspots for contact-tracing.

Amit Shah also informed Delhi Government that the Railway Ministry would immediately provide 500 railway coaches equipped with all facilities. This would add to the number of beds required to treat COVID patients.

Arvind Kejriwal termed the meeting as “extremely productive” via a tweet. Kejriwal said the Centre and the Delhi government will fight the COVID-19 together.
